So how about our service
We recognise that our state of the art cattery also warrants the very best in personal service. The checking in procedure for our cats is very personal and you can arrange a ‘check-in’ time that suites you. You will be welcome to come along to our cattery and spend as much time as you like settling your cat in.
During your cat’s stay we will provide updates and photos of your cat to allow you to relax whilst you’re away re-assuring you that your cat is in the best possible hands.
Please feel free to come along without an appointment and view our facilities and speak to our staff. We are open for viewing Monday to Saturday all year from 10am to 3pm. (Excluding: Sundays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day).

Is your cat vulnerable? Perhaps you are boarding a kitten or your cat is elderly, disabled or on medication, or maybe they are of a nervous or fearful disposition? This is not a problem for us ! Simply give us a call to discuss your concerns and requirements and we will talk through appropriate arrangements for extra care while they board with us.
PLEASE NOTE
- Inoculations: Please ensure your cat is fully vaccinated against Cat Flu/Enteritis, including yearly boosters.
Sorry, but we are unable to accept your cat if inoculations are not up to date .
- All vaccinations must be completed 14 days prior to arrival at Barehams and a current vaccination record must be presented on arrival for boarding, which will be retained during your cats stay
- We are meticulous about fleas and take maximum precautions to prevent the spread of fleas.
- Hygiene is of the utmost importance and all pens are thoroughly scrubbed between occupants and a meticulous cleaning routine is carried out every day. Please ensure your cat is checked for fleas in advance of their stay, and take all necessary precautions. For further advice please contact your vet or call us.
- We are happy to administer any medication that your pet may be taking such as eardrops, eye drops, painkillers etc.
- All medication must be clearly marked with the name of your pet, daily dosage and your name and address. Full details explaining the reason for the medication must be given to a member of staff when you arrive at Barehams.
- We will do everything we can to ensure your pet’s well-being during their stay. However, in the unfortunate event that your pet becomes ill, veterinarian support is always available and your pet is insured under the Pet Plan 3 star insurance cover. Pet Plan insurance cover is for any non-pre-existing illness incurred whilst at Barehams and up to 72 hours after collection.
