Independent, smart, adventurous, homely… cats are a law unto themselves and as any cat owner knows, very easy to love, on their terms! We take great care of our feline guests so you can rest assured that they are comfortable and safe in our care.

8 Large Luxury Cat Suites

All our 8 suites are identical in size and are constructed from high end stainless steel and toughened glass walls. This combined with an anti-bacterial wall covering, the same as what you would find in an operating theatre in a hospital, provides the very best in hygiene and enables us to go the extra mile in the prevention and transmission of harmful germs and diseases.

Due to the large size of the suites we can now offer, for the first time, cat accommodation that is suitable to house a family of cats in the same suite giving you peace of mind that your cats are in familiar surroundings whilst with us.

Each suite has a large raised area complete with an equally large penthouse where your cat can relax and sneak away to its sleeping area at will. A ladder and a cat flap provide access to the penthouse.

Cats love to climb and scratch so we’ve included large ‘cat trees’ in each suite.

The new cattery is a light and airy building with roof lights and windows providing lots of natural light. We’ve also included piped music to give a calming and relaxing atmosphere.

The temperature is regulated by our climate control system, providing air conditioned cooling and heating to the whole building. So your cats are cozy all year round.

So how about our service

We recognise that our state of the art cattery also warrants the very best in personal service. The checking in procedure for our cats is very personal and you can arrange a ‘check-in’ time that suites you. You will be welcome to come along to our cattery and spend as much time as you like settling your cat in.

During your cat’s stay we will provide updates and photos of your cat to allow you to relax whilst you’re away re-assuring you that your cat is in the best possible hands.

Please feel free to come along without an appointment and view our facilities and speak to our staff. We are open for viewing Monday to Saturday all year from 10am to 3pm. (Excluding: Sundays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day).

Minimal stress

Our luxury cattery is situated away from the main dog boarding kennels, offering a peaceful and calming environment. Whatever their disposition, we take great care to help them feel settled.

Socialising

Our handlers are experienced in caring for cats, spending time talking to and stroking them, and generally helping to make them feel more at home.

Diet

We will happily feed your cat with their usual diet and in their normal routine, simply bring this with you, clearly labelled with instructions, or visit our shop on arrival and purchase your pet's food at very competitive prices. Please visit our shop page for more detail on ranges we stock.

Special care cats

Is your cat vulnerable? Perhaps you are boarding a kitten or your cat is elderly, disabled or on medication, or maybe they are of a nervous or fearful disposition? This is not a problem for us ! Simply give us a call to discuss your concerns and requirements and we will talk through appropriate arrangements for extra care while they board with us.

PLEASE NOTE

Inoculations: Please ensure your cat is fully vaccinated against Cat Flu/Enteritis, including yearly boosters. Sorry, but we are unable to accept your cat if inoculations are not up to date .
All vaccinations must be completed 14 days prior to arrival at Barehams and a current vaccination record must be presented on arrival for boarding, which will be retained during your cats stay
We are meticulous about fleas and take maximum precautions to prevent the spread of fleas.
Hygiene is of the utmost importance and all pens are thoroughly scrubbed between occupants and a meticulous cleaning routine is carried out every day. Please ensure your cat is checked for fleas in advance of their stay, and take all necessary precautions. For further advice please contact your vet or call us.
We are happy to administer any medication that your pet may be taking such as eardrops, eye drops, painkillers etc.
All medication must be clearly marked with the name of your pet, daily dosage and your name and address. Full details explaining the reason for the medication must be given to a member of staff when you arrive at Barehams.
We will do everything we can to ensure your pet’s well-being during their stay. However, in the unfortunate event that your pet becomes ill, veterinarian support is always available and your pet is insured under the Pet Plan 3 star insurance cover. Pet Plan insurance cover is for any non-pre-existing illness incurred whilst at Barehams and up to 72 hours after collection.
